Facebook said that the updated app was written from scratch and reconstructed to be a streamlined Objective-C creation that will provide highly positive experience to mobile users.
Removing the scaled web-view was one of the reason why it works faster now. You will notice the smooth feeling that when scrolling and opening drop down list on the left pane navigation. HTML5 coding which was previously used had been removed which made is faster too.
Meanwhile, iPad users can experience Timeline on this latest app.
There’s a new style banner alerts that remove the need to keep refreshing the app as well as allowing instant access to notifications.
